Nothing is set until you accept: when you first arrive, analytics is switched off by default.
You can decline analytics from the banner at the bottom of the page and still read every guide in full. To change your mind later, clear this site’s data in your browser settings and the choice will be offered again. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not build advertising profiles.
How we use information
We use anonymised, aggregated data only to keep the site secure and to improve our content — for example, to see which guides are popular and where we can add more detail. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Third parties and external links
Our site is hosted by Netlify and uses Google Analytics 4, which runs only if you accept analytics cookies. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms. Our guides also link to external websites (such as airlines, ferry operators and official government pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites, so please review their policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete any personal data held about you. As we collect little to no personal data, there is usually nothing to act on — but if you have any privacy question or request, just contact us and we'll help.
